I am an artist, curator, educator and researcher based in Liverpool. I sculpt hybrid image-forming instruments from the ancient and intimate co-evolution of optics and architecture.

From celestially aligned megaliths to the omnivoyance of surveillance, the built environment forms a vast self aware optical instrument. The relatively unmediating singularity of the pinhole camera's aperture has proven the ideal breach through which to return this urban gaze and locate the dark matter of its blind spots.

Combining the divinatory and metrical functions of the surveyor I deploy these hand built seeing machines to form adiagnosis of the volumes we inhabit.
